Our Green Home combines timely, informative editorial with useful, local advertising content in a friendly and accessible package.

In addition to managing the production cycle, I also managed distribution and provided critical support the sales and editorial teams.

OSEA: Renewable Energy Is The Solution

Variations of the ad appeared in community newspapers throughout Ontario.

Campaign Objective: Provide print support for a renewable energy roadshow promoting renewable energy sources in rural communities across Ontario. To maximize the client's budget, I created an ad template and dropped in different event details and sponsors' logos for each insertion.

In addition to designing the ads for the campaign, I also planned and executed the print media buy.

Rosehill Wine Cellars: Wine Storage Experts for Canadian Interiors Magazine

Campaign Objective: To showcase the asthetic qualities of custom wine cellars to Canada's top-level interior design community. The client was so pleased with the positive response the ad has since been featured in Wine Access Magazine and the Globe & Mail.

Conservation Zone Community Newspaper Column and Insert Program

Objective: To educate Ontarians, specifically those living in rural and urban areas facing possible energy supply constraints, about the environmental and financial benefits of energy conservation in the home. The columns were written by Chief Energy Conservation Officer of Ontario, Peter Love.

I researched, planned and executed the print media buy which included 79 daily and community newspapers as well as a specialty magazine, with total circulation of the columns exceeding 2.7 million. The columns ran from October, 2008 to January, 2009

I also provided editorial assistance in the writing and layout of the columns.

Objective: To conclude the Conservation Zone newspaper columns series with a final "report card" informing Ontarians about the progress made in reaching 2008 energy conservation targets, and educate them about conservation programs available to homeowners in Ontario going forward.

I managed production of the inserts and provided extensive editorial and creative assistance. As with the columns, I researched, planned and executed the insert media buy which included delivery to over 1.4 million households in Ontario using community and daily newspapers.

South East Community Health Centre Territorial Mapping Project

Client: Cynthia Johnston & Associates, Southeastern Ontario Community Health Centres
Lead Designer: Charles Johnston

Objective: Create a high-resolution map that accurately depicts Health Centre territories within the Southeastern Ontario region for reference and presentation purposes. In addition to print applications, the map has been designed for web use with potential for flash-based user interactivity.

Hairstyling at St. Lawrence College "Recruitment" Commercial Spot

Campaign Objective:
To attract new students to the Hairstyling program at St. Lawrence College.

Target Market:
- High school students and young adults
- Individuals who are interested in a career in hairstyling, but aren't sure where to apply

Media:
- Publish on the St. Lawrence College website
- Build viral awareness by featuring the video in a Facebook group for students currently enrolled in the hairstyling program at St. Lawrence College

Created for my Video Production course at St. Lawrence College.

This project was awarded first place in the category of Best Retail Video, at the 28th annual Greg Awards for Advertising; held on April 12, 2008 at St. Lawrence College.
